Time to take a look at a selection of DVD releases for Tuesday October 11, 2011!

• Beautiful Boy (DVD Review) A heart-wrenching drama starring Michael Sheen and Maria Bello as the parents of a son is at the centre of a school tragedy.
• Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls (DVD Review) Truly inspiring documentary following yodelling, lesbian sisters entertainers The Topp Twins. This film won me over in seconds, and I think back on it with a suprizing frequency for both inspiration and the power of persistence. Highly recommend. (US Release Date Nov 8 2011)
• The Tree of Life Terrence Malick's gorgeous life study/commentary that is really beyond words - it's one that has to be experienced. And I highly recommend checking it out as an unique and absorbing film experience.
• Life in a Day I really want to check out this documentary which is a unique social experiment to capture the day of day July 24, 2010 around the world, directed by Kevin MacDonald (not currently available on DVD on Amazon.com).
• Princess of Montpensier a 16th century set historical romance with the one heck of a heated love triangle that plays with power, duty and passion; directed by Bertrand Tavernier.
• Wuthering Heights on BluRay Thrilled to see this PBS version with Tom Hardy & Charlotte Riley is now available on BluRay.
• Arena This one has a total Running Man feel to it with a current day Gladiator online entertainment, and honestly I really want to see it - plus it stars Kellan Lutz & Samuel L. Jackson.
• Swamp Shark I so need this. I have no idea why, but I can't resist shark movies, and especially not when it stars Kristy Swanson (Buffy - the movie) and D.B. Sweeney.
• VLOG As a vlogger myself it's totally creepy to see a horror movie on the subject!
• JEM and the Holograms: The Truly Outrageous Complete Series I loved this girl rocker band cartoon series as a kid and think it's awesome that's it's now available on DVD. Or rather that it's truly outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous that it's available.
• Casper The Friendly Ghost Collection of cartoons from 1945-63 - great pick for the littler ones this Halloween season.
• Todd and the Book of Pure Evil - Season 1 Canadian high school set monster fighting horror/comedy hits DVD (not currently available on DVD on Amazon.com).
• Chuck Season 4 Spy-fi comedy TV series that has a very dedicated audience now hits DVD.
• Green Lantern Wow, we are starting to see summer films hit shelves as this Ryan Reynolds with an alien ring who has the ability to do just about anything - and fight evil to boot!
• Judy Moody & The Not Bummer Summer Gotta love a girl with a plan to make the summer more fun. I'd see this one. Stars Jordana Beatty and Heather Graham.
• Terri well received quirky misfit comedy starring Jacob Wysocki & John C. Reilly.
• Zookeeper comedy going starring Kevin James as a Zookeeper whose animals being to talk to him.
